The sticker will be subject to the same regulations as traditional disabled parking placards, including application and issuance requirements, and will feature a hologram to prevent counterfeiting. County assessor-collectors will be responsible for distributing these stickers, just as they do with placards. The legislation aims to provide more flexibility in disabled parking permit options and will take effect on September 1, 2025, ensuring that people with disabilities have accessible parking options across different types of vehicles.
