The department must update this information at least weekly. Additionally, the bill requires TxDOT to notify contractors in writing at least 90 days before any changes to a contract's schedule or deliverables, and mandates that when such a notice is issued, the responsible department office must report the change to top department leadership within three days and post the notice on the website within 10 days. These provisions aim to increase transparency and accountability in TxDOT's contract management process, providing stakeholders with more timely and comprehensive information about engineering-related service contracts. The bill is set to take effect on September 1, 2025.
