This bill requires the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) to enhance its capital project dashboard by adding more detailed and transparent information about its infrastructure projects. Specifically, the bill mandates that the MTA's online dashboard must now include a comprehensive listing of contract numbers, vendors, and contractors associated with each project, as well as detailed funding sources (specifying whether funds come from New York State, the federal government, New York City, or other sources). The bill further requires that state funding be explicitly identified, particularly noting whether it comes from the Central Business District Tolling Lockbox. The dashboard must now track project progress by percentage of expenditure, provide narrative explanations for significant budget changes or schedule delays, include a glossary with plain language descriptions of technical terms, and be updated at least quarterly.
