This bill extends the Metropolitan Transportation Authority's (MTA) half-fare rate program to include individuals receiving benefits from the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP). However, some SNAP recipients do not qualify for these existing reduced fare programs due to restrictive income guidelines.
