This concurrent resolution terminates Executive Order number 47.3 of 2025, which was issued during a state disaster emergency under Executive Law section 29-a. The original executive order specifically targeted employees of the Department of Corrections and Community Supervision who participated in what was described as an "illegal and unlawful strike" by implementing several significant employment restrictions. These restrictions included requiring the department to investigate and report striking employees, prohibiting state agencies from hiring any employee separated from the department due to strike participation, and suspending various civil service, county, municipal home rule, correction, and criminal procedure law provisions to prevent the transfer, promotion, or continued certification of such employees. The resolution, exercising the State Legislature's authority to terminate executive orders issued under section 29-a of the Executive Law, effectively nullifies all the provisions and directives contained in the original Executive Order 47.3.
