This bill modifies the authorization process for housing stabilization services for individuals eligible for certain disability waivers in Minnesota. Specifically, the bill establishes clear limits on housing-related services that waiver case managers can approve: up to 150 hours of housing transition services per move (with no more than half provided remotely), up to 150 hours of annual housing sustaining services (also with a remote work cap), up to $3,000 for moving expenses per eligibility period, and one housing consultation service annually. The bill requires waiver case managers to submit any requests for exceptions to these service limits to the Minnesota commissioner of human services for approval. An eligible provider can agree to provide these services by signing a person-centered plan, after which the waiver case manager will determine the individual's eligibility and approve services within the specified limits. The provisions of this bill will become effective on July 1, 2025, and are designed to provide structured support for individuals with disabilities in maintaining stable housing.
