This bill modifies existing law to allow governing boards of school districts with an average daily attendance of over 20,000, rather than over 100,000, to use money from the cafeteria fund or cafeteria revolving account for expenditures. These expenditures can be for a share of money generated from the joint sale of items between the school cafeteria and an associated student body student store, provided there is a contract and pupils participate in the operation of the store. The bill also removes provisions related to licensing requirements for corporations and limited liability companies (LLCs) in the insurance code and clarifies that no reimbursement is required for local agencies or school districts as the bill does not create new crimes or infractions.
