This bill ratifies three tribal-state gaming compacts: one with the Cher-Ae Heights Indian Community of the Trinidad Rancheria (executed on July 11, 2025), a first amendment with the Pinoleville Pomo Nation (executed on July 30, 2025), and a first amendment with the Sycuan Band of the Kumeyaay Nation (also executed on July 30, 2025). In recognition of tribal sovereignty, the bill exempts certain actions related to these compacts from environmental review under the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), specifically the execution of the compacts, any related intergovernmental agreements, and on-reservation impacts of compliance with the compacts.
