This resolution congratulates the Kimball High School boys' basketball team on winning the 2025 University Interscholastic League (UIL) 4A Division 1 state championship, highlighting their remarkable season and championship journey. The Knights, from Dallas, demonstrated exceptional performance by losing only five games during the regular season and going undefeated in district play, then successfully navigating the playoffs by defeating several high schools before reaching the state final. In the championship game on March 7 at the Alamodome in San Antonio, they defeated Houston Booker T. Washington High School 71-48, securing their eighth state championship. The resolution specifically recognizes Most Valuable Player Marri Wesley and other All-Tournament Team members Lance Carr, Jaylon Dean-Vines, and Jaylin Hancock, as well as the entire team roster and coaching staff led by head coach Nicke Smith.
