This bill eliminates the Washington state leadership board by repealing several existing statutes related to the board (RCW 43.388.010, 43.388.020, 43.388.030, and 43.388.040) and removing all references to the board from other existing laws. The bill transfers any remaining funds in the Washington state leadership board account and special license plate account to the state general fund. Specifically, the bill removes the Washington state leadership board from the list of boards and committees that the lieutenant governor serves on or appoints members to, and eliminates provisions related to special license plate fund allocations that previously designated portions of funds to be administered by the leadership board. The bill also removes language about collaboration with the leadership board in the context of the legislative youth advisory council. Essentially, this legislation completely dismantles the Washington state leadership board, effectively ending its existence and removing all statutory provisions related to its operations and funding.
