This resolution recognizes and commends The Sunshine House, an early childhood education and care organization, on its 50th anniversary. Founded in 1975 by Dennis and Roseann Drew, the organization began as a single in-home preschool called Small World Preschool and has since grown into a significant national childcare provider operating 119 schools across six states. The Sunshine House currently serves more than 12,000 children daily through the work of over 1,800 educators, and has positively impacted the lives of over 300,000 children since its founding. The resolution highlights the organization's key milestones, including expansions into North Carolina and Georgia, launching the Quest Zone Afterschool Program in 2000, and establishing the first Foundations Early Learning Center in 2016. The House of Representatives officially recognizes The Sunshine House's commitment to high-quality early childhood education and extends best wishes for its continued success, with the Clerk of the House authorized to distribute an official copy of the resolution to the organization.
