This resolution honors the life of Barry A. Brown, a Savannah native who was deeply committed to his community. Born in 1954, Brown served on the Tybee Island Planning Commission and City Council, including as Mayor Pro Tempore, and was a dedicated member of the Marine Rescue Squadron for over 25 years. He was a proud business owner, a member of the American Legion Post 154, and was known for his boundless kindness and dry sense of humor. The resolution highlights his love for his family, especially his wife of 51 years, Sunni, his children Brandon and Lauren, and his grandchildren Colby, Tyler, Brayden, and Phoenix. The House of Representatives formally honors his memory and expresses condolences, and directs the House Clerk to provide a copy of the resolution to his family as a gesture of respect and remembrance.
