This resolution commends the Happy Hitters of North Atlanta, a pickleball team co-founded by Karla Blaginin and Arthur Jackson specifically designed to provide athletes with special needs an opportunity to develop skills, build friendships, and compete in pickleball. The team consists of 12 athletes from various Atlanta-area communities, supported by six community volunteers, five parent volunteers, and donors who help cover game fees and team expenses. With support from ACE Pickleball, which has donated practice space for two seasons, the team includes 12 dedicated players who have demonstrated outstanding sportsmanship. Under Coach Karla Blaginin's leadership, team member Mimi Ngo has even advanced to mainstream pickleball tournaments, helping to expand opportunities for special needs athletes in the sport. The resolution highlights the team as an exemplary model of inclusivity and adaptive sports programming, and formally commends the Happy Hitters for their excellence in pickleball while extending best wishes for their continued success. Additionally, the resolution directs the House of Representatives' Clerk to make an official copy of the resolution available for distribution to the team.
