The bill also creates a Citizens' Engagement Council to ensure older adults' voices are included in policy recommendations and provides $1,700,000 in funding for each of fiscal years 2026 and 2027 to implement these provisions. The director is required to submit an annual report to the governor and legislative committees detailing the office's activities and recommendations.
