This resolution congratulates the Lufkin High School Panther Band on winning the Class 5A/6A state championship at the 2024 University Interscholastic League (UIL) State Military Class Marching Band Contest, held at Baylor University's McLane Stadium in Waco, Texas. The band achieved this victory by scoring nine ordinals and performing a series of musical pieces including "Legacy Fanfare" and "The Viking March".
