The resolution highlights the need for more research into the causes and treatments of various types of myositis, such as dermatomyositis and polymyositis, and acknowledges the efforts of The Myositis Association, a leading patient advocacy group, in organizing this nationwide observance to raise public awareness and support affected individuals and families.
