This bill facilitates a land transfer to the Shingle Springs Band of Miwok Indians by revoking a previous public land order and transferring approximately 265 acres of land into federal trust for the tribe's benefit. Specifically, the bill instructs the Secretary of the Interior to transfer two parcels of land: an 80-acre Bureau of Land Management (BLM) tract and a 185-acre area called Indian Creek Ranch, both identified on a May 2, 2025 map. Before finalizing the transfer, the Secretary must review the land and conduct a survey if necessary, with the ability to make minor corrections to the land description. Once transferred, the land will become part of the tribe's reservation and be administered according to standard federal regulations for tribal trust lands. Importantly, the bill explicitly prohibits the transferred land from being used for any form of gaming (both Class II and Class III) under the Indian Gaming Regulatory Act. The land transfer must be completed within 180 days of the Act's enactment, and all existing land rights will be preserved during the process.
