A notable aspect of the celebration was a kindness campaign launched by the Young Leaders of Northeast Indiana (YLNI), which challenged community members to perform 200 acts of kindness. The campaign was remarkably successful, with the community surpassing one million acts of kindness and positioning Allen County as potentially one of the kindest counties in the country. The Indiana General Assembly formally recognizes this milestone, commending the county's residents for their generosity and community spirit, and directs the Secretary of the Senate to transmit copies of the resolution to the Allen County Board of Commissioners.
