This resolution celebrates the remarkable achievements of the Georgia Southern University Clay Target Team, who won national championships in the Association of Collegiate Universities and Intercollegiate (ACUI) and Scholastic Clay Target Program (SCTP) Collegiate Clay Target Championships in 2024 and 2025. The team demonstrated exceptional performance at the National Shooting Complex in San Antonio, Texas, where they shot a record-breaking 497 out of 500 targets and competed against 106 collegiate teams and nearly 1,200 student-athletes. Notable individual achievements include senior Tate Skipper's perfect 100 out of 100 in American Skeet, senior Andrew Cohen's perfect 100 in skeet and High Overall Champion status, and strong performances by other team members like Cheyenne Anderson, Blake Reed, and Landon DeLoach.
