This resolution honors Heritage Hill Farm, a long-standing agricultural operation in Ohio that is celebrating its 200th anniversary. The resolution recognizes the farm's rich history, beginning with its purchase by John E. Brubaker in 1825 and now in its sixth generation of family ownership under current owner David Charles Winger. The farm has diversified its agricultural production to include dairy, various crops such as corn, soybeans, wheat, oats, rye, and alfalfa, and has demonstrated environmental stewardship through a significant reforestation project in 2002 that involved planting 30,000 native hardwood trees. The Ohio House of Representatives commends the farm for its commitment to agricultural excellence, community service, and sustainable land management, and formally congratulates Heritage Hill Farm on reaching this bicentennial milestone. The resolution also directs the House Clerk to send an official authenticated copy of the resolution to the farm, symbolically recognizing its importance to Ohio's agricultural heritage.
