This bill requires the Department of Health to provide extensive notification to various government officials and local representatives when an adult care facility's operating certificate is revoked, suspended, or limited, or when a facility voluntarily surrenders its certificate. Specifically, copies of all written materials related to the action, such as hearing notices and charges, must be sent to the Governor, the State Comptroller, the Attorney General, the Justice Center for the Protection of People with Special Needs, and the local state legislators. Additionally, these materials must be delivered to the chief executive and presiding officer of the local legislative body of the county where the facility is located, and in cities with over a million people, to the relevant community board. The Department must also post a summary of violations, the potential impact of closure on residents, and the facility operator's plan for continued care on its website for thirty days prior to a hearing. These notifications, with the exception of the website postings, are generally exempt from public disclosure laws and will not include personally identifying information.
