This resolution commends Louis Nash, a distinguished tennis coach from Oxford High School in Mississippi, on the occasion of his retirement after a remarkable four-decade career in coaching. Nash, who began playing tennis at age six and started coaching in 1982, led the Oxford High School Tennis Team to an extraordinary record of 17 state championships, including a remarkable ten consecutive 5A State Championships from 2008 to 2017, with an impressive overall varsity record of 560 wins and only 63 losses. Throughout his career, Nash has received numerous accolades, including being named two-time Mississippi Association of Coaches Coach of the Year, the 2019 U.S. Professional Tennis Association Coach of the Year for Mississippi, and the 2024 National High School Athletic Coaches Association's National Tennis Coach of the Year. The resolution highlights Nash's dedication, leadership, and profound impact on his players and the tennis community, and officially commends him for his outstanding contributions, extending best wishes to him and his family.
