This resolution recognizes and commends Michelle Taylor Willis, a distinguished graduate of the University of Florida and accomplished media executive, author, speaker, and strategic advisor. As the Founder and CEO of Gagnant Media and Publisher of SoFu Lifestyle Magazine, she has been instrumental in amplifying community voices in metro Atlanta. The resolution highlights her national platform contributions, including speaking engagements with organizations like the National Urban League and Blacks in Tech, as well as her nationally recognized book on parenting. As a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc., she coined the term SoFu® to unite South Fulton County's eight cities and has served on several community boards, including the Atlanta-Fulton Library Foundation. The resolution acknowledges her numerous accolades, such as being named one of the Top 25 Most Powerful Women in Atlanta and receiving frequent recognition on Georgia's Top 100 lists. Ultimately, the Senate officially recognizes Willis for her entrepreneurial vision, community advocacy, and exemplary career contributions, and directs the Secretary of the Senate to provide her with an official copy of the resolution.
