This resolution congratulates the 2025 African American Education Archives and History Program (AAEAHP) Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony honorees, recognizing 12 distinguished Texans who will be honored at a ceremony in Dallas on April 12, 2025. The AAEAHP, founded in 2002 as a collaborative effort between local educators and the African American Museum, works to preserve and raise awareness of the African American educational experience in Dallas County through various initiatives including a Hall of Fame, scholarship program, and curriculum development. The 2025 honorees include educators Dr. Helen Benjamin, Cassandra Black, Robert Edison, Dr. Levatta Levels, Dr. Larry Lewis, Bertric Manning, Dora Wesley Morris, Cheryl Smith, Norma Wright, and the late Dr. Charles Matthews, along with Senator Royce West and Curtis King who will receive Presidential Awards. The resolution acknowledges these individuals' exemplary contributions to education and their inspirational impact on their community, formally congratulating them and expressing the Texas House of Representatives' high regard by resolving to prepare an official copy of the resolution for each honoree.
