This resolution recognizes Judy Floyd, the Director of Christ Central Aiken-Graniteville, and her husband Roger Floyd for their extensive community service over nearly 25 years. For 23 years, Judy Floyd has been a dedicated advocate for Aiken County residents, helping to establish economic support programs that provide food, clothing, education, and job skills for people in poverty. Under her leadership, the organization's mission stations have not only provided weekly food and clothing to local and transient individuals, but have also supported communities during natural disasters and collaborated with government agencies and nonprofit organizations to develop comprehensive assistance solutions. Together with her husband, she has sponsored various educational programs including GED preparation, NJROTC, Jobs for Life, and math tutoring, which were developed by volunteer teams and shared with other mission stations across South Carolina. The resolution highlights her recent recognition with the President's Volunteer Service Award and formally commends the Floyds for their meaningful community service, congratulates them on their retirement, and wishes them continued success in their future endeavors.
