The resolution requires the committee to evaluate whether this approach could make public education funding more equitable, in light of a recent Commonwealth Court ruling that confirmed the current funding system is unconstitutional. The Legislative Budget and Finance Committee must complete the study within one year and submit a report with findings and recommendations to the General Assembly, which will be made publicly available online.
