He worked in manufacturing at Hyster Company and Caterpillar, Inc., and with the Illinois Department of Corrections, while also co-owning Hannah's Parlor with his wife Angelica for 28 years. The resolution highlights his community involvement, including being a member of St. Jude Catholic Church, an enthusiastic supporter of his family's sporting activities, and a coach of local softball teams. Known for his love of the New York Mets, playing cards, and dancing, Mullens was a devoted family man survived by his three children, four grandsons, two brothers, and extended family. The Illinois Senate resolves to express their deepest sympathy to his family and commemorate his life by presenting a copy of this resolution to his loved ones.
