This bill appropriates $5,000,000 to the Public Schools Educational Support Program's Division of Central Services for fiscal year 2026. * $5,000,000 is appropriated from the Public School Income Fund for operating expenditures of the Public Schools Educational Support Program's Division of Central Services for fiscal year 2026. * $5,000,000 from the General Fund will be transferred to the Public School Income Fund for fiscal year 2026. * Of the $5,000,000 appropriated for the Division of Central Services, $5,000,000 is designated for statewide training for early literacy. This funding is for intensive professional development and coaching for kindergarten through grade 3 teachers, elementary administrators, and other support staff, with a priority for teachers and administrators in underperforming schools. The State Department of Education must report on the distribution, expenditure, and results of these funds by January 5, 2026.
