This bill prohibits the state of North Carolina and its political subdivisions from purchasing or acquiring unmanned aircraft (drones) manufactured or assembled by certain foreign entities, specifically targeting vendors from China and Russia. The bill defines "covered foreign entities" as individuals or organizations that are on U.S. government screening lists, domiciled in China or Russia, under the influence of those governments, or subsidiaries/affiliates of Chinese or Russian entities.
