Trotter, a native of Greenville, practiced law in Belzoni for over 50 years and served in various judicial and professional roles, including as a Municipal Judge in multiple towns, Public Defender for Humphreys County, and a dedicated member of The Mississippi Bar. Throughout his career, he held numerous leadership positions, such as serving on the Board of Bar Commissioners, chairing multiple committees, and representing Mississippi in the American Bar Association's House of Delegates. He has received multiple honors, including the Mississippi Bar's Distinguished Service Award and Lifetime Achievement Award, and was named the University of Mississippi School of Law's Law Alumnus of the Year in 2015. The resolution highlights Trotter's commitment to legal ethics, professional standards, and service, and officially commends him for his achievements while extending best wishes to him and his family for this prestigious Hall of Fame induction.
