He was a lifelong member of First Jerusalem Baptist Church and served as pastor of Mt. Tabor Baptist Church for 43 years, retiring as pastor emeritus in May 2024. Throughout his life, he was an active member of the Savannah Baptist Ministers Union, received a Community Service Award, and was widely respected as a mentor, educator, and spiritual leader. The resolution highlights his commitment to serving others, his compassionate nature, and his profound impact on his family and community. The Georgia House of Representatives formally honors his memory, expressing deep regret at his passing, and directs the House Clerk to provide an official copy of the resolution to his family as a tribute to his remarkable life and contributions.
