On March 29, 2025, the Red Devils won a dramatic overtime game against the defending state champions, the Fishers Tigers, with a final score of 67-66, secured by Elijah Cheeks' game-winning layup with 37 seconds remaining. The team finished their season with an impressive 24-5 record and marked their first state championship since 1993. Senior guard Shawn Boyd was recognized with the Arthur L. Trester IHSAA Mental Attitude Award for his leadership both on and off the court. The resolution specifically acknowledges the 15 student athletes who made this victory possible, along with team managers and coaching staff, including Head Coach Sherron Wilkerson, who also led Jeffersonville's first championship team 32 years earlier.
