This resolution honors and commends Ashland City's Troop B, 1st Squadron, 278th Armored Cavalry Regiment (ACR) of the Tennessee Army National Guard for winning the U.S. Army's 2024 Sullivan Cup Competition. The Sullivan Cup is a prestigious biennial competition held by the U.S. Army Maneuver Center that tests tank and Bradley crews from the U.S. Army, U.S. Marine Corps, and foreign allies in maneuver, sustainment, and gunnery skills. The Troop B team, consisting of Staff Sergeant David Riddick, Sergeant Joshua Owen, Specialist Noah Eddings, and Specialist Seth Carter, defeated ten other teams, including six active-duty Army units and four from allied nations, and were the only National Guard/non-active duty unit in the competition.
