This bill amends Louisiana Revised Statute 40:1849(B) to modify the annual registration fee for tanker trucks used to transport liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), including anhydrous ammonia. Currently, the registration fee is fifty dollars, but the bill introduces a graduated fee structure. From August 1, 2025, until July 31, 2030, the annual registration fee will increase to up to one hundred dollars per vehicle, and after July 31, 2030, the fee will further increase to up to one hundred fifty dollars per vehicle. The Liquefied Petroleum Gas Commission will continue to issue a registration decal that must be permanently affixed to the vehicle, and no LPG dealer will be permitted to deliver gas from a transport vehicle without a current registration decal.
