These medical professionals will be responsible for observing participants' physical condition throughout the contest and have the authority to stop the event if they determine that continuing would risk severe injury. The bill specifies that these medical professionals must practice according to their respective professional practice acts (the Professional Nursing Law for nurse practitioners and the Medical Practice Act for physician assistants), and their fees will be paid by the wrestling event's promoter. The expanded medical personnel options aim to ensure comprehensive medical oversight and participant safety during wrestling events, and the law will take effect 60 days after its passage.
