The medical professional must observe the physical condition of the wrestlers throughout the contest and has the authority to stop the event if they believe continuing would risk severe injury. If a certified registered nurse practitioner is employed, they must practice in compliance with specific sections of The Professional Nursing Law. The fee for the medical professional will continue to be paid by the event promoter. The bill includes a standard implementation provision, specifying that the law will take effect 60 days after its passage. This change provides more flexibility in staffing medical oversight for professional wrestling events while maintaining a focus on athlete safety.
