AI Summary

This bill requires the Pennsylvania Department of Health to develop and implement a mobile application designed to support pregnant and postpartum individuals, with a specific focus on those who are eligible for Medicaid or medical assistance. The mobile app will provide educational resources, information about health programs, and support for pregnancy, prenatal, postpartum, newborn, and infant care. The department must create a competitive bidding process to select a vendor within 90 days, with priority given to vendors experienced in reaching Medicaid-eligible mothers. The mobile application must operate statewide, be available on both Android and iOS platforms, provide information in multiple languages, and include content meeting clinical standards from organizations like the CDC, NIH, and American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. The vendor will be paid $10 per user per month, with total annual payments not exceeding $500,000, and will be required to provide regular aggregate, de-identified data about app usage and user engagement to the Department of Health. The bill aims to increase awareness and participation in health programs and improve access to critical healthcare information for expectant and new mothers.
