This bill increases the contribution rate for employees to the State Training and Employment Program from 0.1% (one-tenth of one percent) to 0.2% (two-tenths of one percent) of their wages. The contribution will be collected by the department from each employee in the manner specified under existing law, and then remitted to the Department of Revenue. The new contribution rate will apply to employment contracts entered into on or after the bill's effective date.
