Wine permit holders would follow a similar quarterly reporting schedule. The bill maintains the existing requirement that permit holders report the exact number of barrels (for beer) or gallons (for wine) sold, and pay the appropriate tax, but provides flexibility for smaller businesses by allowing less frequent reporting. A 10% penalty will still be assessed for late or missed reports and tax payments. The bill is set to take effect on January 1, 2026, giving businesses time to prepare for the new reporting method.
