This bill modifies Minnesota's government data practices law to classify farmed Cervidae (deer and elk) premises location data as private or nonpublic information. The bill removes previous language that excluded farmed Cervidae premises location data from privacy protections, effectively ensuring that such data will now be considered private. Under this amendment, the Board of Animal Health retains the ability to disclose this data if doing so would aid law enforcement, protect public health, or protect animal health and safety.
