Brunger advanced through the ranks, ultimately retiring as a Commander in 2002 after 26 years of service, and subsequently founded APM Group, Inc., which provides engineering services to the Department of Defense. Throughout his career, he earned advanced degrees, including a bachelor's in electrical engineering from the Naval Academy and a master's in aeronautical engineering. The resolution praises Brunger for exemplifying Tennessee values, serving his country with honor and distinction, and recognizes his upcoming retirement in June 2025, extending gratitude for his professional achievements and offering best wishes for his future.
