AI Summary
This bill modifies the administrative regulations governing the Pennsylvania State Police by removing a previous cap of 4,310 personnel and eliminating specific language about not counting officers assigned to certain commissions and enforcement roles when calculating total personnel. The bill eliminates the numerical limit on state police staffing, giving the Commissioner of Pennsylvania State Police, with the Governor's approval, more flexibility in determining the organization and size of the police force. Additionally, the bill repeals a related section of the Fiscal Code to support this change and includes a standard 60-day implementation period. By removing the strict personnel cap, the legislation allows the Pennsylvania State Police more administrative discretion in managing its workforce and potentially adjusting staffing levels based on current public safety needs and resources.
