This resolution honors the memory of Jutson Benard Holton Jr., a Houston resident who passed away on March 23, 2025, at the age of 78. Born on February 26, 1947, to Ruby Farthing Holton and Jutson B. Holton Sr., he grew up with eight siblings and was involved in the Boy Scouts, which helped shape his character. Holton previously lived in Mississippi and Louisiana, where he worked at the Enjay Baton Rouge Plastics Plant, and he was known for being a source of joy and inspiration to his family and friends. The Texas House of Representatives officially pays tribute to his life, extends deepest sympathy to his family and friends, and will prepare an official copy of the resolution for his family.
