This House Concurrent Resolution (HCR) provides procedural instructions for handling legislative measures at the end of the 2025 Regular Session of the 69th Legislature in Washington state. Specifically, the resolution directs the House of Representatives to transmit all Senate bills, joint resolutions, concurrent resolutions, and joint memorials that have not been passed to the Senate, where they will be assigned to the Senate Rules Committee for third reading. Similarly, the Senate will transmit all House bills, joint resolutions, concurrent resolutions, and joint memorials that have not been passed to the House of Representatives, where they will be assigned to the House Rules Committee for third reading. The resolution also instructs the Chief Clerk of the House and the Secretary of the Senate to retain all legislative measures, records, journals, and documents in their current status upon adjournment sine die (without setting a future date for another meeting). Additionally, the resolution stipulates that any measures introduced during a potential special session will continue the numbering sequence from the 2025 Regular Session.
