AI Summary

This bill modifies the terms of office for elected officials in certain villages, specifically changing the start date for elected presidents, clerks, and treasurers to December 1st following their election, and allowing villages to opt through an ordinance to elect all six trustees for two-year terms instead of the current practice of electing three trustees for four-year terms. The bill also clarifies procedures for filling vacancies in village offices, stating that appointed officials will serve until the next regular village election, and outlines steps for special elections if council membership falls below a quorum or if all village officers and trustees are vacant, with the township clerk potentially overseeing such elections.
