Additionally, the bill clarifies that state employees who fail to fully cooperate with the legislative auditor or fiscal analyst can be subject to disciplinary action, including potential dismissal. These changes are designed to enhance the committee's oversight capabilities by ensuring they have comprehensive access to the information needed to conduct fiscal reviews, post-audits, and budget analyses of state government operations. The bill will apply to offenses committed on or after its effective date and takes effect immediately upon passage.
