A retired nurse from Greenville who earned her nursing degree, Brailsford has been actively involved in local Republican Party politics for over 45 years, serving as secretary/treasurer in both Orangeburg and Clarendon County. Now 95 years old and approaching her 96th birthday in 2025, she has served under nearly a dozen party chairs and witnessed the growth of her local GOP organization. Beyond her political involvement, Brailsford is deeply committed to her community, serving as a bookkeeper and secretary/treasurer for three churches, helping families in need, and maintaining books for a local barbecue restaurant. The South Carolina Senate resolution not only acknowledges her significant contributions but also wishes her continued years of service, and includes a provision to present her with an official copy of the resolution as a formal recognition of her lifetime of community engagement.
