AI Summary

This bill establishes a comprehensive tracking system for publicly financed housing in Pennsylvania, requiring the Pennsylvania Housing Finance Agency to create and maintain a publicly accessible online database that provides detailed information about housing properties receiving government assistance. The database must include specifics such as property addresses, anticipated dates when affordability restrictions may expire, options for property owners to continue participating in assistance programs, and any extensions or modifications to affordability restrictions. The agency is mandated to update this database annually by December 31st and submit annual reports to the Governor and General Assembly detailing the number of housing properties with terminating affordability restrictions in the current and upcoming two calendar years. Local housing agencies are permitted to contribute information to the database, and the bill defines various terms like "affordability restriction," "publicly financed housing," and "termination" to provide clarity. The tracking system covers multiple federal housing assistance programs, including low-income housing tax credits, rent supplement programs, and various housing development initiatives, with the goal of providing transparency about the status of subsidized housing properties. The bill takes effect immediately and allows for potential legislative appropriations to support the database's development and maintenance.
