The resolution highlights the organization's 2025 Nebraska Championships, where over 1,600 students competed in more than 100 different career and technical competitions, including fields like architecture, business, health science, technology, and manufacturing. SkillsUSA, originally known as Vocational Industrial Clubs of America, has served more than 14 million members and aims to ensure America has a skilled workforce by providing not just technical training but also employability skills. The top students in the state championships earn prizes and scholarships and can advance to national competitions in Atlanta, Georgia. By passing this resolution, the Nebraska Legislature officially recognizes SkillsUSA's significant contributions to developing skilled workers and enhancing the lives of Nebraska's citizens.
