AI Summary
This bill amends The Administrative Code of 1929 by adding a new section requiring that all printed information, publicly accessible websites, and government services provided by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania or its political subdivisions be exclusively in English, unless federal law mandates otherwise. The provision specifies that the official language is determined by federal law or Presidential executive order, effectively mandating English as the sole language for official state and local government communications and services. The bill will go into effect 60 days after its passage, which would require state and local government entities to ensure their materials and services are only presented in English during that transition period. This legislation appears aimed at standardizing language use in government communications and potentially restricting or eliminating multilingual services.
