This concurrent resolution honors Robin's Nest Children's Center, a child care facility in Burlington's Old North End, on its 40th anniversary in 2025. The resolution traces the center's origins to 1985, when a group of parents came together after a local early childhood program closed, creating Robin's Nest to provide quality early education and support for families. The center was founded with a mission to offer a play-based environment for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers, emphasizing multi-age learning and high adult-to-child ratios. Currently, Robin's Nest serves 31 children from 23 families, with nine dedicated teachers, and has a diverse population that includes 35 percent BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, or Persons of Color) children, with 65 percent of families receiving state child care financial assistance. The resolution celebrates the center's commitment to nurturing children's development, supporting families, and maintaining its original vision of providing quality, inclusive early childhood education. The General Assembly officially recognizes the center's 40 years of service and directs the Secretary of State to send a copy of the resolution to Robin's Nest.
